Direct speech: "According to the forecasts of our meteorologists and specialists from the Institute of Hydrometeorology, the average monthly temperature in February will fluctuate from -3° to +2°, which is still 1.5°-2° above the climatic norm. As for the first decade, the initial days, we expect a decrease in temperature readings, returning to a more winter-like character of the weather. We anticipate frosts specifically in the early days of February, particularly at night, within the range of -3 to -8°."
Details: Ptukhа noted that this applies to most regions, however, it will still be somewhat warmer in the south and southeast.
The spokesperson of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center also mentioned that the current temperature background in the country is above the climatic norm. This is especially true for the southern and western regions. Some weather stations are recording temperature records for specific dates.
Direct speech: "Practically until the end of the month, we will maintain this temperature background, but with a trend towards gradual decline in the last two days (of the month), on the 30th-31st. This will be particularly felt in the western regions, as an atmospheric front will be arriving on the 31st-1st, and air flows will be changing."
