Klichko accused the head of the Kyiv City State Administration of obstructing crucial decisions and is calling for President Zelensky's intervention.

Kyiv's Mayor Vitali Klitschko, in an open letter to President Volodymyr Zelensky, accused the head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Timur Tkachенко, of obstructing critical economic issues and attempting to usurp the mayor's authority.
Кличко обвинил главу КГВА в задержке важных решений и обратился к Зеленскому с просьбой о вмешательстве.

Direct speech: "I appeal to the President of Ukraine. While you, as the Supreme Commander, are focused on the war and the defense of Ukraine, people around you are engaged in political intrigues. These processes are becoming critical. There is an attempt in Kyiv to destabilize power and undermine local self-governance."

Details: In particular, Klychko accused the current head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, who "has no military education or experience and replaced combat generals," of blocking key economic decisions.

"Restoration of damaged homes, compensation for affected residents, infrastructure recovery, and others. This destabilizes city management and poses a threat to the capital's livelihood," the mayor stated.

Klychko also believes that the head of the KGVA is unlawfully attempting to usurp the powers of the mayor, the city council, and the KGVA. The mayor reminded that the military administration is a temporary body that should focus on defense and security, not on power usurpation.

"Kyiv residents chose the mayor of their city. And I will continue to defend their interests. I ask the president, as the guarantor of the Constitution, to prevent the destruction of local self-governance - the foundation of democracy," Klychko said.

What preceded this: Before this, the head of the KGVA, Timur Tkachенко, stated in his Telegram channel that he discussed security issues and the effective functioning of Kyiv with the president, and that, according to him, the heads of district state administrations would be changed.

"The goal is one - more results and attention to security issues, addressing the problems that concern society, and creating conditions for comfortable living. We expect new leaders to be appointed soon, whose task will be to implement these objectives," he noted.

Note: At the end of December, President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed Serhiy Popko from the position of head of the Kyiv City Military Administration. He appointed Timur Tkachенко in his place.

Previously, Tkachенко served as the Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries. Before that, he worked as the Director of the Department of Territorial Control of the Kyiv City State Administration.
