Verbatim: "As part of a pilot project that launched in December of last year under the overall coordination of the Main Department of Defense Innovations of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the state has gained the ability to produce codified FPV drones. Under a trilateral agreement, a private developer provided a license for the production of UAVs based on one of the state-owned enterprises related to the management of the Ministry of Defense."
Details: As noted by the Ministry of Defense, the drones will be supplied to the Armed Forces. After establishing and expanding production, the state enterprise will be able to independently apply for tenders from the Defense Procurement Agency and other customers.
"The experience has been positive. Thanks to the integration of the state into the production chains, we have gained a clear understanding of the cost of drone production and our competitive advantages in this market. This will enhance the quality of the finished products due to sustainable competition," the Ukrainian defense ministry stated.
The Ministry of Defense reported that specialists from the Main Department of Defense Innovations have developed a plan to create similar production facilities in collaboration with other UAV developers. This will significantly increase production capacity and accelerate the release of unmanned systems for the front lines.
