"The new U.S. president likes Hungary. The President of China visited two European Union countries – France and Hungary. Our friend is the President of Turkey, our right partner is the President of Russia, our good friend is the Prime Minister of Israel," Viktor Orban declared, adding that "there has likely never been anything like this in the history of Hungarian diplomacy."

"How to keep these plates spinning at the same time, so that none of them fall, and their conflicts do not harm our relationships – this is a complex but not impossible task. The reason we need to gather friends around the world is so that Hungarians, all Hungarians, can gain tangible benefits from it," Orban said.

In the same interview, Orban expressed his belief that the war between Russia and Ukraine will end in 2025, either through peace negotiations or by one of the warring parties being destroyed.

Recall that on December 11, Orban talked on the phone with Vladimir Putin for an hour.

After the conversation, the Hungarian Prime Minister began promoting the idea of a "Christmas truce" in Ukraine, which led the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry to accuse Orban of public relations and urge him not to speculate.
