The President of the United States has signed a new decree imposing a 25% tariff on imported steel and aluminum. This is reported by AFP and conveyed by UNN.

These tariffs will take effect on March 4. Additionally, the president indicated the possibility of imposing further tariffs on automobiles, pharmaceuticals, and computer chips.
According to U.S. trade relations data, the largest suppliers of steel to the American market are Canada and Mexico, as well as Brazil and South Korea. At the same time, the president is considering exempting Australia from the new customs restrictions on steel.
