  • On Wednesday, the Embraer aircraft of Azerbaijan Airlines, en route from Baku to Grozny, crashed near Aktau (the administrative center of the Mangistau region of Kazakhstan). According to Azerbaijan Airlines, there were 67 people on board, including five crew members. Among them were 42 citizens of Azerbaijan, 16 from Russia, 6 from Kazakhstan, and 3 from Kyrgyzstan.
  • The company "KazAeroNavigation" believes that the accident occurred due to a bird strike and loss of control. Additionally, Russian sources do not rule out that the aircraft might have altered its course due to a threat of drone attacks on Chechnya. Preliminary reports indicate that Grozny was attacked by several UAVs, leading to the declaration of a "Carpet" plan at the city's airport.
  • As a result of the crash of the "Azerbaijan Airlines" plane in Kazakhstan's Aktau, which was heading from Baku to Grozny, 38 people died, reported Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister and head of the state commission investigating the causes of the air disaster, Kanat Bozumbaev.
