Details: The dispute in the Oval Office has become a gift for the Kremlin, which is attempting to establish ties with the new Trump administration and portray Volodymyr Zelensky as an illegitimate leader who is unable to negotiate.
Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev wrote on Telegram, insulting Zelensky by stating that the Ukrainian president "received a solid slap from the masters." "This is useful. But it's not enough – we need to stop military aid to the Nazi machine," said the former president of Russia.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated that it is "a miracle of restraint" that "Trump and Vance held back and did not hit this scoundrel."
"I think the biggest lie from Zelensky throughout his lies is the statement in the White House that the Kyiv regime was left alone in 2022, without support," wrote the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson on Telegram.
Konstantin Kosachev, Deputy Chairman of the upper chamber of the Russian parliament, declared that "this round Zelensky lost with a deafening crash, and by the next one, he will have to crawl on his knees."
"Today in the Oval Office, Zelensky continued to lie – about Ukraine's strength, about America's gratitude, and about readiness for peace. It didn't work," wrote the Russian politician.
Recall that members of the Democratic Party came to the defense of Volodymyr Zelensky after Donald Trump and his vice president JD Vance publicly insulted the Ukrainian leader during a meeting in the Oval Office.
The Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, became almost the only one among the leaders of EU countries to openly support Trump after his dispute with Zelensky.
