In Russia, reports emerged of a drone attack on an aircraft factory in Kazan, leading to the temporary suspension of operations at the local airport.

Details: According to Russian Telegram channels, it is alleged that the Ukrainian Armed Forces used the aircraft-type drone "Lyuty" to attack factories in Kazan.

One of the eyewitnesses reportedly saw it in the Aviation District.

The publication claims that in two districts of Kazan – Novosavinovsky and Aviation – residents heard explosions.

Meanwhile, Rosaviatsiya announced that Kazan Airport is temporarily closed for the arrival and departure of aircraft.

Additionally, it was reported in Russia that the airports in Nizhnekamsk (Tatarstan) and Izhevsk (Udmurt Republic) have suspended operations.

Updated: In the morning, Governor of Kaluga region Vladislav Shapsha reported that in the evening, air defense forces destroyed 2 drones, and during the night, another 4 drones in Kaluga and the Babyninsky district.

"On the outskirts of Kaluga, drone debris fell onto the premises of a facility. A minor fire that broke out was promptly extinguished by rescue services. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties or damages," the regional head stated.

The Telegram channel Astra reported in the morning that drones attacked the Kazan Aircraft Plant named after Gorbunov. It is claimed that one of the drones hit an empty tank on the plant's premises.

The Kazan Aircraft Plant named after S. P. Gorbunov – a subsidiary of PAO "Tupolev" – is one of the largest enterprises in the aviation industry of Russia. It manufactures strategic bombers Tu-160, as well as civil airliners Tu-204.
