Details: Respondents were asked whether they consider Vladimir Zelensky, Donald Trump, and Vladimir Putin to be dictators.

According to the survey, 41% of participants view Trump as a dictator, slightly lower than the 45% who do not. An additional 14% of respondents stated that they are unsure whether they consider him a dictator or not.

When asked if they see Zelensky as a dictator, similar to Trump, 22% responded "yes," while 45% said "no." Another 33% of those surveyed were undecided.

The YouGov survey, conducted on February 19, included 4,071 Americans.

Background:

  • Ukraine's refusal to sign an agreement on rare earth metals led to Trump recently labeling Vladimir Zelensky as a "dictator without elections".
  • Commenting on the latest statements from the White House, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that "President Trump is very upset with President Zelensky," particularly due to the lack of gratitude for American assistance and the refusal to sign an agreement regarding Ukrainian minerals.
