Direct quote from Zelensky after participating in the summit of European leaders on security issues in London: "We deserve an equal dialogue.... (If the U.S. president invites – ed.) "for a constructive dialogue, to address real problems, to tackle serious issues and to take real, decisive actions and responses – I will come."
Details: Bloomberg reports that "Zelensky carefully chose his words after the dispute with Trump and Vice President JD Vance (February 28 – ed.) during the meeting at the White House."
The President of Ukraine noted that having this conversation in an open format was not beneficial for either the U.S. or Ukraine.
The publication also emphasizes that Zelensky in London declined a journalist's request to switch to English to avoid misinterpretation.
"I am convinced that this situation will pass, and there are more important things ahead," – said the President of Ukraine.
He also added that Ukraine is ready to sign a mining agreement that was put on hold last week. In particular, it could be signed by the ministers.
Bloomberg also notes that while Zelensky acknowledged Ukraine's dependence on U.S. support and expressed respect for Trump, both major American political parties, and the U.S. as a whole, he still refrained from apologizing.
"I am open to any format of constructive relations with the U.S.," – Zelensky stated.
The publication highlights that the Ukrainian president "defended his right to uphold the dignity of his country and its people and called on partners to show understanding for the suffering that Ukraine has endured since the Russian invasion three years ago."
