"Greenland is a 'thorn in Putin's side' - Alexander Nevzorov."

Russian journalist, television host, and publicist Alexander Nevzorov explained why Donald Trump was interested in acquiring Greenland.
Гренландия — это "удар по печени" для Путина, считает Александр Невзоров.

Greenland, which has become Trump's fixation, is a "thorn in the side" for Putin and all the arrogant "northern plans" of Russia. Russia needs the "north" to blackmail and intimidate the world with the brevity of missile "approaches" and to funnel masses of oil-sucking slaves into those regions. The civilized world has quite different plans for the Poles and the Arctic.

Trump started off rather bluntly. He spoke yesterday with the Prime Minister of Denmark, who formally owns the island, and… engaged in conversation with her.

In that same, already somewhat forgotten by the world, "American language."

The shortest route for Russian missiles aimed at the U.S. is through Greenland. That’s why Trump wants to acquire it.

  • Yesterday, Trump called the Prime Minister of Denmark demanding the transfer of Greenland. The conversation went terribly — Trump behaved aggressively and insisted on the transfer of the island;
  • Trump needs Greenland for the defense of the U.S. against Russian missiles;
  • Currently, there is only one military base in Greenland, with just 80 personnel;
  • Russian nuclear submarines control the Arctic seas. Russia conducts exercises there with China;
  • Denmark’s military presence in Greenland consists of 4 ships and one aircraft. The defense of the island is de facto managed by the U.S.
