Will Ukraine withstand a cessation of military and financial aid from Trump?

1. The break has not yet occurred, and U.S. assistance continues.

Currently, no military assistance programs have been terminated or halted. There is no interruption in the operation of Starlink, no blockage of weapon supplies approved under Biden, and no reduction in intelligence sharing. Therefore, there are no grounds to fear that the U.S. will stop assistance at this time; Ukraine still holds significant leverage over the situation.

2. Armament.

We cannot replace many types of American weaponry, as the U.S. ranks first in terms of supply volume, and some essential weapons have no equivalents.

However, the key factor for the army's combat readiness is primarily the funding of the Ukrainian budget. If Europe can secure budget financing, we can compensate for the loss of certain critical weapon types with qualitative advancements in UAVs, EW, and SIGINT, where U.S. supplies are not critical.

In my opinion, if our military units focused on UAVs, EW, and SIGINT at the front receive a budget of at least 5 billion euros per year, our army will enhance its combat effectiveness.

3. Our allies.

Ukraine will not be left alone in this war; we have the support of allies in Europe, and they plan to increase assistance even if Trump decides to sever ties. Political support for Ukraine amid Trump’s threats is not diminishing but rather strengthening.

Conclusion.

There is no basis to claim that the U.S. will inevitably sever relations. A genuine attempt to break U.S.-Ukraine ties would provoke significant shifts in both public opinion and U.S. politics. Thanks to the heroism of Ukrainian warriors, Ukraine maintains its standing in the civilized world, and therefore, no one can discredit Ukraine globally. Pressure on Ukraine will lead to increased support for us and pressure on those who attempt to create problems for Ukraine.

The fate of Ukraine is being determined on the front lines, and the soldiers holding the line provide Ukraine with unyielding resilience and the ability to withstand any political storm.
