The new Marvel film "Captain America: A Beautiful New World" has elicited mixed reactions from film critics. Some reviewers highlight its dynamic action and successful continuation of the cinematic universe's storyline, while others criticize its lack of emotional depth.

Washington Post reporter Herb Scribner described the film as an "absolute blast," noting that it restores the sense of unity within the Marvel universe and successfully integrates other projects.
Film critic Chris Parker expressed disappointment, stating that the film lacks emotional depth, although he appreciated the serious tone and Anthony Mackie's performance. A similar sentiment was echoed by Emmanuel Nouazette, who acknowledged the good action and political undertones but labeled the film as "average."
On the other hand, screenwriter Chris Gallardo supported the positive reviews, asserting that Mackie did a fantastic job as Captain America, and his chemistry with Danny Ramirez felt very natural. He also praised Harrison Ford’s role as President Ross, who also appears as Red Hulk.
This film marks Anthony Mackie's first leading role in the Marvel universe after his character Sam Wilson received the Captain America shield at the end of "Avengers: Endgame."
In the new storyline, Sam is forced to team up with U.S. President Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross to investigate a conspiracy related to an assassination attempt and a struggle for adamantium.
The film also features Danny Ramirez as the new Falcon, Giancarlo Esposito as the antagonist Sidewinder, and Shira Haas as the government agent Sabra. "Captain America: A Beautiful New World" will be released in theaters on February 14 under the auspices of Disney and Marvel Studios.
