"The director and artistic leader of the Kyiv National Academic Young Theater, Andrey Bilous, will be removed from his official duties," stated Anna Starostenko, the deputy chair of the KCSA, as quoted by the government administration.

According to her, the purpose of this action is to "ensure an objective and impartial examination of the circumstances surrounding the case of unethical behavior, maintain the stable operation of the theater, and create conditions for an open dialogue among all parties involved in the conflict." "This decision will allow for a comprehensive analysis of the situation and the adoption of further management decisions that serve the interests of the entire team and the audience," Starostenko noted.

She mentioned that today, February 10, a meeting took place with an initiative group at the KCSA premises. The event discussed the next steps that will be taken jointly with the leadership of the KCSA Department of Culture.

"The city authorities hold a principled stance: any manifestations of harassment, discrimination, or humiliating treatment in cultural institutions are unacceptable. Culture is not only a space for creativity but also a powerful means of rehabilitation and healing that should inspire, support, and unite. It certainly should not inflict psychological or physical harm on people," emphasized the deputy chair of the KCSA.

Starostenko added that a relevant commission will be established to conduct a thorough analysis of the situation in the theater, which will take appropriate measures if necessary. She issued this directive to the director of the KCSA Department of Culture on February 7.
