Ukraine's oldest publishing house is ceasing operations.

The "Scientific Thought" publishing house is ceasing its operations based on a decision from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. This was reported by the publication Chytomo citing the publishing house, as conveyed by UNN.

According to Victoria Ageeva, head of the book distribution department, this decision was made by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NASU).

As per data from "Opendatabot", bankruptcy proceedings against the institution began on October 5, 2024.

Employees were informed of their termination two months prior to the cessation of the company's activities.

The bookstore on Tereshchenkovskaya Street and the publishing house's online store will also be closing. The last day of operation for the "Scientific Thought" bookstore will be December 2, 2024. This was announced by the publishing house on its official website.
