Taisia Povaliy will be tried in absentia in Ukraine for collaborationism.

Prosecutors from the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office have submitted an indictment to the court against former People's Artist of Ukraine and ex-MP from the banned "Party of Regions" Taisia Povaliy.

Povaliy is accused of collaborationist activities, public calls for aggressive warfare, justification and denial of Russian armed aggression against Ukraine, as well as glorification of its participants.

According to the investigation, in 2014, the accused moved to Russia, where she continues her creative and entrepreneurial activities. In 2023, she acquired citizenship of the Russian Federation.

The High Anti-Corruption Court has already decided to confiscate her property for the benefit of the state. This includes: 

• 7 plots of land in Kyiv region (9.3 ha);
• a residential house (442 sq. m);
• a property (101 sq. m);
• two vehicles;
• four units of weapons;
• property rights to nine musical works.

The investigation in this case was conducted by the SBU Office in Vinnytsia region. The court proceedings will take place in absentia, as the accused is currently in Russia.
