According to the expert, Trump may not yet have a complete vision for ending the Russian-Ukrainian war, as he, being the newly elected President of the USA, still needs to gather all the information before making a decision. Moreover, he reminds us that Trump has already changed his position along the way.

“At the beginning of the election campaign, there were statements about finishing the war in 24 hours. Then Donald Trump clarified and explained his own statement in an interview with CBS News in Paris, mentioning that he might try to achieve this within 24 hours if possible, etc. In other words, the position is constantly changing,” notes Alexander Musienko.

What remains unchanged, he emphasizes, is Ukraine's successes. Specifically, the expert mentions that certain circles have been pushing media calls for Ukraine to facilitate the end of the war and make unilateral concessions, but we managed to counter this narrative. And now we see, he states, how Zelensky firmly responds to Orbán’s accusations, reminding that Ukraine has its own interests.

“And I think that Kellogg's visit to Ukraine is important because it means that there will be no such mediating missions as, for example, Orbán mentioned. Because the United States themselves will now take on this role; they will be testing the waters, discussing, and engaging in a clear dialogue. And then a certain process may be possible,” explains Alexander Musienko.
