This was discussed by him on the program "Personality with Sergey Doiko".
“It's a very interesting question. The media and information space present various figures regarding costs. They range from 7 to 900 billion dollars,” emphasizes Roman Palchikov.
However, he notes that it's essential to understand that the cost and time for the complete demining of Ukraine primarily depend on technical equipment, the number of operators, and similar factors, as all of this is interconnected. The guest of the program recalls that at the beginning of the demining process, we had only a handful of operators, so simple mathematical calculations indicated it would take 700 years.
But today, he states, the number of operators is quite substantial and is continually increasing, meaning that the business recognizes the potential for profitability, and the certification of other operators is also underway.
“I would likely base my estimates on the figures that are available in the official domain. The Ministry of Economy either together or based on a report from the World Bank states that it’s 37.4 billion dollars. With this funding, they plan to de-mine everything over the course of decades. Of course, all of this will be adjusted, as technological progress is not stagnant, new equipment and artificial intelligence are emerging... Therefore, I wouldn’t be surprised if these figures change in some time,” concludes Roman Palchikov.
As reported by ZNAY.ua, Musiienko stated that the mere presence of British troops on Ukrainian territory will serve as a deterrent for the Russian Federation.
ZNAY.ua also reported that Bortnik explained why Trump was so offended by Zelensky: “He advised to lower the tone”.
