Vadim Karasev stated that for America, the war in Ukraine is over with this deal concerning rare earth metals.

Essentially, he continues, Rubio states that Ukraine is not ready for negotiations, and Lavrov outright claims that Russia opposes a freeze on the war, as they are dissatisfied with the front line. Therefore, the expert notes that understanding the positions of the parties do not align, they are merely attempting to get closer, and Trump has shifted his focus to a deal concerning rare earth metals to demonstrate something.

“For America, with this deal, the war in Ukraine is over. We haven’t abandoned Ukraine, we didn’t leave behind any troops, we exited in a manner that was not as shameful as with Afghanistan under Biden; we left in an organized way and even with a profit. Everything else, like how to end the war between Ukraine and Russia, will be resolved later,” explains Vadim Karasev.

So, the expert concludes, the diplomatic line will proceed through the heads of foreign ministries, while the military aspect will remain on pause for a while for several reasons. First, he asserts, Ukraine is not surrendering; second, Russia is not satisfied with the front line, as they have not reached the borders of the regions they claimed in their Constitution; and third, Trump is facing resistance.
