Millions in losses and claims within just a week: The State Ecological Inspection highlighted the most significant violations of environmental protection laws.
From December 13 to 19, 2024, territorial and interregional territorial bodies of the State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine conducted 427 control measures and compiled 300 protocols on administrative offenses.
The total amount of imposed fines is 49 thousand UAH.
A total of 78 thousand UAH has been collected for the State Budget.
Losses calculated for violations of environmental legislation amount to 16 million 141 thousand UAH.
The overall amount of claims and lawsuits totals 3 million 470 thousand UAH.
Losses have been recovered voluntarily and through enforcement for a sum of 2 million 903 thousand UAH (including previously filed claims and lawsuits).

Dnipropetrovsk Region
The Dnipro District Inspectorate calculated losses amounting to 14 million 907 thousand 900 UAH for land resource contamination with water of unknown origin (with a characteristic sewage smell) in the territory of the "Shakhtarsky" park in Kryvyi Rih, under the Kryvyi Rih RUP of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Zaporizhzhia Region
The Southern District Inspectorate calculated losses of 549 thousand 983 UAH for the illegal cutting of 14 trees of various species to the point of growth cessation by unidentified individuals in the territory of the all-geological reserve of national significance "Dnieper Rapids" on the site of the Zaporizhzhia RUP of the National Police in the Zaporizhzhia region.
