“In South Korea, they calculated how many North Koreans have died directly in the war against Ukraine. Thus, North Korea has likely lost over 3,000 soldiers in the war against Ukraine on Russia's side, with 300 dead and 2,700 injured,” reports Alexander Musienko.

According to conclusions from South Korean intelligence, he notes that such massive losses of North Korean troops are due to their lack of understanding of modern warfare, as they futilely attempt to shoot down long-range drones and similar targets, as evidenced by recent combat footage.

“North Korean forces fight in a very primitive manner and do not meet the demands of modern warfare. If official Seoul were preparing a military campaign against North Korea now, and if they deployed dozens, hundreds, thousands, or tens of thousands of various types of drones, I believe it would be significantly successful. It is evident from the videos and photos that emerge how the North Koreans operate; they are truly unadapted to the transformed landscape of modern warfare. This is a completely accurate assessment, and therefore, they will suffer even greater losses,” comments Alexander Musienko.

By the way, he notes, it is not apparent that Kim Jong Un is rushing to provide new assistance to Putin; that is, with 3,000 North Koreans lost, a new batch is not arriving, indicating that the DPRK leader is likely beginning to assess the risks as well.
