According to the Financial Times, the EU has approved a new 16th package of sanctions against Russia, which will likely coincide with the third anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion. An expert states that this sanctions package targets the Russian aluminum industry and includes further restrictions on the export of Russian oil, with 13 new banks and 73 shadow fleet tankers added to the sanctions list.

“At the same time, there is information that the United States will not lift sanctions against Russia until there is a ceasefire agreement in Ukraine, Bloomberg reports, meaning they will remain in place. When will there be a deal? How will it be signed? I can't imagine how this could happen without Ukraine's involvement. It’s just unrealistic,” notes Alexander Musienko.

Additionally, he adds that Russia is facing a third type of sanctions – hellish ones. According to the expert, Russian military correspondents report that 8 Russian drone operators have lost their eyesight due to explosions from FPV goggles supplied by volunteer organizations.

“Inside the FPV goggles, explosive C-4 was discovered, which activates when the cooling fan starts. In fact, these are hellish sanctions, friends. These are sanctions of a different kind. After all, we know about the Mossad's experience, which sent pagers to Lebanese terrorists threatening Israel. Now, someone will be sending goggles. There’s something to fear because of the long reach of Ukraine’s Security and Defense Forces. Anything can happen. Plus, volunteers might not be friendly. It’s possible that those inside Russia simply do not support the continuation of the war,” reflects Alexander Musienko.

As reported by ZN.UA, Dubina assessed Trump's attempts to persuade Putin to end the war: “They resemble a military joke”.

ZN.UA also wrote that Musienko explained why holding elections in Ukraine right now is dangerous: “The nation is on the brink of survival”.
