“My team and I sincerely hope for a post-war baby boom, and we want to assist. But we are very concerned that when the borders open, men will go to join their wives in Europe, and this boom is likely to occur there. For this boom to happen here, certain changes in government policy are essential,” explains Yevgeny Komarovsky.
In particular, the program guest points out that one only needs to look at who works with children in Ukraine, how teachers, kindergarten educators, youth coaches, and pediatricians have been treated, what their equipment is like, what working conditions they face, and what their salaries are…
“And now they want me to say something comforting about birth rates, about demographics. I have nothing comforting to offer, I’m sorry. But it all starts here; this is the primary measure we all need to focus on first. That’s why I urge everyone to pay attention to those (i.e., politicians) who will know the magic words – school, kindergarten, children's sports, and ultimately, child safety,” concludes Yevgeny Komarovsky.
