SubscribeAs the expert notes, Syrskiy stated that the primary focus now is to strengthen the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in challenging areas of the front, prepare for defensive actions during the autumn-winter period, and provide units with additional weapons and equipment. According to him, it is clear that this is crucial not only for the Zaporizhzhia direction but also for others, to effectively and efficiently eliminate the enemy, and it is good that the Commander-in-Chief is emphasizing this point.
“Why specifically the Zaporizhzhia direction? Well, you understand, I have also raised this issue; a lot of information has started to emerge that the enemy may advance towards Zaporizhzhia, and there are risks and threats of a breakthrough at the front, which could encircle the Ukrainian group in these areas. There are challenges, threats, and problems,” notes Aleksandr Musienko.
Indeed, the expert recalls that the Commander-in-Chief previously toured the entire eastern front quite frequently, and now it is the Southern direction that is receiving attention to stabilize the defense line.
“Again, we have seen various reports, but I would say this: as of today, there has been no collapse of the front. There are no threatening breakthroughs indicating that this would lead to an encirclement of Ukrainian forces either. In other words, a holding operation is underway, active defense is being conducted, and Ukrainian forces continue to focus on this and carry out combat tasks. It is good that the Commander-in-Chief also visits the front and keeps his finger on the pulse in this regard,” explains Aleksandr Musienko.
