As stated by "Ukrainian Truth", the event triggered a strong reaction both within the professional community and among the public. Defense Minister Rustem Umerov accused Bezrukova of political maneuvering, inefficiency, and contract mismanagement, after which he announced her dismissal. Arsen Jumadilov was appointed in her place, who also heads another key entity — the State Logistics Operator.

However, Bezrukova herself disagreed with her dismissal. She claimed that she remains in her position and referred to corporate governance legislation. The Defense Procurement Agency also supported her stance. This situation has led to a de facto dual power within the institution, which is extremely dangerous in wartime conditions.

Member of the Public Anti-Corruption Council under the Ministry of Defense Yuri Gudymenko criticized the ministry for its inability to resolve the conflict. He emphasized: "In the past six months, this conflict could have been settled at any moment. The lion's share of the blame for this situation lies with the Ministry of Defense." Gudymenko added that the anti-corruption council analyzed the situation and appealed to the National Security and Defense Council urging intervention.

Gudymenko expressed concern about the potential consequences for Ukraine's image abroad. "This image will certainly not benefit us, especially given that discussions about freezing aid to Ukraine are becoming more frequent in the U.S.," he noted.

The scandal unfolds against a backdrop of statements from public organizations calling for the resignation of the defense minister. The Anti-Corruption Center directly accused Umerov of creating a crisis around the Defense Procurement Agency.

According to Gudymenko, the anti-corruption council has reached out to all parties involved in the conflict, including Umerov, Bezrukova, and representatives of the agency's supervisory board. He stressed that the council is ready to serve as a platform for resolving the situation. "We are independent, chosen by the citizens of Ukraine. We are prepared to assist in resolving the conflict as quickly as possible so that it does not affect the procurement of weapons for the Ukrainian army. After all, nothing is more important than that," he stated.

The situation surrounding the Defense Procurement Agency remains unresolved. There is a threat that the dual power could paralyze the operation of the structure responsible for supplying critically important materials for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Currently, the country's political leadership is calling for urgent intervention to prevent the crisis from deepening.
