Why did Donald Trump win in the USA? There are several reasons, and they are quite significant for Americans.

SubscribeTrump's victory was primarily due to the current state of the American economy. Prices have risen, inflation has increased, and so on. Many blame the Democrats for this. This is a real factor that played a role.
A lot of men voted for Trump. Especially men from rural, less developed areas, where his views were better understood and shared. For these men, Trump became an important figure, and they forgave him many things. In a way, Trump became a sort of "ugly hero," if that can be said. "Ugly" because he is rude and quite brazen, but "hero" because he has his own charisma and has shown himself to be a man on multiple occasions. Kamala Harris, on the other hand, was only interesting to voters because she is part of the "right institutions." But that is only for those who consider such things important, nothing more.
Latinos, the Spanish-speaking population in Florida, California, New Mexico, Texas, and Arizona also supported Trump. Although Trump raised the issue of immigration, many of them backed his ideas about rule adherence and respect for family values. Immigrants often criticize those who break the law, which is why Trump gained their sympathy. Although there were many women on Kamala Harris's side, it wasn't enough for her.
Another important factor in Trump's victory was the phenomenon of workers with traditional American values. These are the voters who once elected Reagan. They also supported Trump. Even those who didn't particularly like him began to gradually respect him. In contrast, Kamala Harris's position simply proved unconvincing: she lacks charisma; she is just a woman. And while Harris hasn't done anything wrong in her political career, she hasn't accomplished anything outstanding for Americans either.

They are experienced and well-known figures with significant political backgrounds. They are all "financial titans." For instance, the same multimillionaire and major Trump donor, John Paulson. There are many experienced and very competent Republicans there. One of my acquaintances has been friends with some of them for years. He has told me that there are indeed very strong political and financial figures among them. I know many of them personally and can confirm this.
The selection of his team by Donald Trump clearly highlights that he chose deserving, experienced, and highly competent individuals. There are no newcomers; all members of Trump's team are people with vast experience, intelligent, and self-sufficient. They are conservatives, which means they will demand accountability, conduct audits of military supplies to Ukraine, seek an end to the war, and somehow "adjust" relations with Russia.
Of course, in your part of Europe, there is a clash of ideologies – democracy versus autocracy. I believe that Trump's team members will interact with Russia on many issues, but (!) taking into account the economic and practical interests of the USA to avoid, let's say, impractical solutions. These individuals understand the potential risks and are prepared for them.
I think that the Democrats (if they had won) would also have an experienced team. Likely, even more progressive on certain issues than the current one. However, what I personally like about Trump's team is that, for the most part, they are neither extreme "Magi" nor fervent Trumpists, but rather conservatives close to the core of the Republican Party.
For Ukraine, this election result in the USA means support, but with very clear oversight and the intention to end the war in a way that prevents its recurrence.
There will also be steps towards disarming Russia (not in the literal sense, but by containing its aggression). It is unlikely that a regime change in the RF can be expected; that is hard to achieve, so sanctions will continue.
Relations with China for Trump and his team will be strict but pragmatic and economically justified. China will be seen as a competitor with whom to interact wisely and profitably.
Overall, I see a lot of pragmatism in the new Trump administration, so his choice of team does not surprise me. He did not include anyone in his team who criticized him. The only one who criticized Trump a long time ago was Vice President JD Vance. But believe me, no one dismisses or forgets that.
