In the Kharkiv region, Russian forces attempted to seize a foothold on the right bank of the Oskil River, according to the General Staff.

In the Kharkiv region, near the village of Novomlynsk, in the Kupiansk district, the enemy attempted to capture and hold a foothold on the right bank of the Oskil River.

This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as conveyed by "Dumka".

According to the General Staff, having the advantage in forces, the enemy even crossed the water barrier. At the same time, Ukrainian defenders, supported by artillery and drone units, pushed the enemy off the foothold.

In particular, the soldiers of the 8th Separate Assault Battalion of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade "Edelweiss" conducted a cleanup of the area around Novomlynsk from enemy forces.

"As a result of the successful operation, the enemy was eliminated. The right bank of the Oskil is under the control of the Defense Forces. Ukrainian flags are flying over Novomlynsk," the General Staff summarized.
