Farewell was given to the defender who lost his life in the Kharkiv region.

Military serviceman Yuri Kasai heroically lost his life in the Liptsy area on January 7, 2025.

This was reported by the "Kremenchug Newspaper," as conveyed by "Dumka."

According to media sources, the farewell ceremony for the soldier took place on January 17 at the St. Nicholas Cathedral in the city of Kremenchug.

Yuri Kasai was born on July 20, 1988, in Kremenchug, where he lived and studied first at Lyceum No. 11 and then at the Special College of Kremenchug National University named after M. Ostrogradsky.

Yuri volunteered for military service on March 17, 2022. He held the rank of senior soldier and served as a gunner-operator in the 3rd platoon of the operational assignment of the 4th company (armored personnel carriers) of the 2nd battalion of operational assignment of the National Guard of Ukraine.

He heroically perished while carrying out a combat mission near the settlement of Liptsy in the Kharkiv district of Kharkiv region.

The deceased is survived by his mother, wife, and daughter.
