More than 2100 people have already been evacuated from the Kharkiv region to safer locations, where they are provided with housing and comprehensive support.
This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov, as conveyed by "Dumka".
According to him, new housing options for internally displaced persons are actively being created in the Kharkiv region. Over the past two weeks, more than 2100 people have been transported from dangerous areas, such as the Kupiansk and Izium directions, including 145 children and more than 150 individuals with disabilities.
As of today, around 300 people have already found temporary shelter in 15 facilities adapted for this purpose, and efforts are ongoing to establish additional accommodations in decommissioned student dormitories. Thanks to support and collaboration with the leadership of educational institutions, five new facilities for displaced persons have already been opened.
